Since 1998, the restructuring of the Lebanese postal service has been contracted to a Libano-Canadian company “Libanpost”. Applied fares are currently LP500 ($0.35) for the internal mail, LP1.100 ($0.75) for the simple mail to European destinations, LP1.000 ($0.70) for Gulf countries and Africa, and LP1.500 ($1) for the rest of the world.
